When The Pen's Nib Meets The Paper #3
Gratitude and Good Found in My Journal - October
Trick or Treat!
Today, I will give out only treats.
It’s time for gathering October thoughts, actions, experiences, and quotes from my journal that I have not included in a newsletter (yet). I consider them shareworthy and I hope you do too.
Found in my Journal
in no particular order:
An important part of routine is to include downtime and time with family and friends. Planning it in advance helps it feel guilt-free.
Like so many things, physical, emotional, and mental healing is not immediate; it’s a process.
What I accomplish today encourages me about tomorrow’s possibilities.
We can look and look for that perfect thing and be happy when we find it. But our happiness doesn’t come close to the feeling we have when serendipity brings it to us. That’s magical.
Every day I get out early to walk. My walk is my time. Yet, it feels good to accomplish the tasks I enjoy. Sometimes, even those routine tasks we enjoy weigh as heavily as any other task on our list.
The simplest things can bring joy and pleasure. Lean into them.
A quote: “Halloween is not only about putting on a costume, but it’s about finding the imagination and costume within ourselves.” - Elvis Duran
Thanks for reading! I hope you enjoyed my random thoughts.
Next week, it’s back to From the Pen’s Nib.

As a reminder, this list replaces my regular newsletters, Take Pen to Paper and From The Pen’s Nib, for the week, so some of you will see it twice.
Do you have a question or comment? Feel free to send it to me.
Do you know someone who would enjoy this? Please share it.
If you want to subscribe, you will be subscribing to From The Pen’s Nib. I would love to have you as a reader.

Good advice - social media isn't the only thing that the internet lets us put too much time into.
