How "From The Pen's Nib" came to be.
An Introduction: I needed a place to share my thoughts on journaling.
I started a simple journaling habit of two statements of gratitude in June 2021.
Actually, I challenged myself. Could I write gratitude daily for 30 days? I got the idea from listening to a podcast by two comedians. One told the other he was practicing daily gratitude to help him deal with pent-up anger.
I didn’t have pent-up anger, but everyone who was anyone in self-improvement talked about gratitude - Oprah, and Brene Brown, among others. I thought if a comedian could do it, so could I. (At the same time I wondered what this young comedian could teach me, evidently, it was a lot.)
Within a month, I had a big regret.
I should have started consistent journaling years earlier.
My two statements of gratitude were short but powerful. They took less than five minutes to write.
My outlook on life became more positive. I was happier. I found it easy to see the good in my life. People noticed.
My journaling habit changed how I viewed myself and my world.
My experience with journaling gave me a purpose.
My mission was to convince everyone to develop a daily journaling habit. I want to share how easy it is to be a consistent journaler. The benefits are worth the time.
Whether you journal a few sentences or a few pages a day, it’s a habit to create now.
The more I journaled, the more I wanted a place to share my thoughts and start conversations about journaling. That is how From The Pen’s Nib was born.
